Where are the best treatment centers for HIV/AIDS in the United States?
I'm working on a paper that would argue that population increases in places such as San Francisco and Washington, D.C. are not due to increases in diagnoses but rather a combination of people with HIV AIDS living longer and people moving to areas that have better treatment centers.For this, I need to find the best treatment centers in the United States and compare them to the statistics on the populations of people with HIV AIDS. If anyone could direct me to the best treatment centers or a list of such, I would be very grateful

Are there faith-based treatment centers for non-Christians?
No need for genocide these days, but couldn't Christians just make non Christian faiths, atheism and homosexuality illegal and practitioners of these evil pastimes put in faith based treatment facilities where they could receive the treatment and counseling they need to be cured of their illness and be able to function normally like the rest of us in society?

What to do when dealing with a psychiatric treatment center for a family member diagnosed with schizo affectiv?
My sister is 17 yrs old and has Asperger's Syndrome, Bi polar Disorder and over a month ago had a psychotic breakdown which has been diagnosed as Schizo affective Disorder.Insurance stopped paying one week ago, because they have a 30 day limit. Now the state's company, carelink, has turned her down three times. Doctors at the hospital along with the Social Worker agree she needs to stay at least a couple more weeks. Seems like it's all about the money, which is so disgustingly sad. She does need more help and though she improved a lot over the past month, there's still much that needs to be accomplished before my family and I feel like it's safe for us and her to come back home. I mean, one night over a month ago she bolted out of the house out of no where we had no idea all the little things she was doing over the past 6 mos was leading up to this and what it was about and was gone for about 20 hours with nothing but the clothes on her back and shoes, crossing several main roads which she had never crossed before and to this day has no idea their names or how she got there it was a total psychotic breakdown, scary stuff.SO, she is not stable yet, and we Definitely can Not afford $950 day at this place. My parents applied for Medicare, but that, if it goes through wont' be in effect for another month or two.We've gotten a few suggestions, like setting up a pay plan of even something like $5 month if they let us or $50 month, seeing as my mom and I don't have a job right now, and though my dad's job is good, my parents are in debt pretty high and there is NO way they'd ever be able to pay $950 day for a week let alone a couple weeks or a month, when they can't even make many payments for other bills.Also looking into a community center that takes people who can't pay..Looking for any advice on people or places that can help. If it helps any, we are in metro Detroit, MI.I suppose I'll ask a separate question about the actual disorder as we'd like to know what to expect.Any websites with information on the matter would help.Are there any " magic" words to say, any little tidbits will help or any who have experience or work in this area.Thanks Also not sure where this question belongs, so going to ask in a few different areas. Paranormal Kitty Wow, that does sound like my sister Also she will soon be 18 in Oct, so not sure applying for anything for children would work.Yeah at this point she doesn't want to communicate much with us. She was having serious delusions possible hallucinations, and other things over the past 6 months. She didn't want to go out only for necessary things and was is obsessed with only doing a few things. Though I have taught her some ASL over the past 4 years from me learning it and she seems to love that and wants to sign only sometimes though what she knows is not enough for normal conversation.We're afraid if she comes home too soon that she could run away again, though we'll be on the watch now..but still. She was on seroquel they took her off of it when she got in the hospital along with lithium, and Geodon.Now she's on Clozaril, Topomax to decrease appetite that the Clozaril adds she gained 14 pounds in few weeks Also she's on Prozac and Concerta.

Is it possible for a treatment center to destroy records of past patients?
...per request of the ex resident? this center was not only for drug and alcohol abuse but also a transitional housing operates solely on donations . She was kicked out after being there for 10 months but not for drug or alcohol use, or anything illegal.she wants no evidence of her involvment with a treatment center, is this possible?

What will happen if mental health and alcohol treatment centers are closed?
in cities? There is one being " merged" with an adolescent unit in town, even the local legislator says it's just a sneaky way to shut it down. About 500 patients use it per year. Do you think closing it down will increase the crime rate? The legislator says it will end up costing the state more than leaving it open, it costs $16,000 and up to house a prisoner. I think that crimes involving alcohol and drugs and psychotic people will increase if the center is closed.We already got people living in the woods near Wal mart and suspect that they go there to eat their way through the store and steal spray paint to sniff while in the woods. Police have found empty cans of paint and large pieces of carpet they cover themselves in and said that they sleep there. Just wondering about when the woods get over crowded and they come into the neighborhoods. The homeless shelters are over capacity as it is when the weather is bad.

When I got out of the d.c. the judge said she was going to staff me in the treatment center, wat dus dat mean?
I just mainly want to know what staff means I mean I always thought it was a rod of some sort but the judge used it as she is going to staff me there, what does that mean? does it mean that I am going to be there if I mess up again or that im going anyway, and next week I have a interview with them.. So im kinda scared, but what dont make sence is that they let me come home... Please answer my question...

Gay and Lesbian Treatment Centers?
I'm trying to do some research for a paper in my educational psychology grad class. Are there such things as " treatment centers" for gays and lesbians to " teach them they're wrong" ? I've heard of such awful places in the past but when I tried to do research all I came up with was gay and lesbian friendly substance abuse centers. Anyone who can point me in the right direction thanks All I need to show in my paper is that such places exist.....I don't agree with such places.
