Im watching a movie about an alcoholic & she makes this comment.... "just once, i want to feel good for 5 minutes. "

As a rule of thumb, yes, but not absolutely 100%. When I was an alcoholic I felt pretty good when I started drinking, for the first hour or two.

I don't know. See, it's hard to measure internals like that unless you can actually read neurological signals without tech. It's likely she's just excusing her uncontrollable behavior. Most people don't know the reasons why they do the things they do.
