Question: How can i break my porn addiction?

I'm addicted to porn. That's pretty much it. This includes watching naked women and men. I like seeing pictures of people having sex and I love watching the videos. It's completely wrong and I hate when I do it. It's separating me from GOD and I am a christian but this is my toughest obstacle. How can I overcome my porn addiction. I need serious answers. If I have the opportunity to watch porn. I will. No matter what. What can I do? I'm 18 and a virgin if that counts...

Pray and ask JESUS to break it. Admit to Him that you cannot stop, and that HE needs to do that in you. Ask Him also to fill you with His Holy Spirit, to overpower the desires of the flesh. And know that Jesus is for you! Believe in JESUS for His free gift of eternal life in heaven, and you are forgiven all sins, no matter what those sins are, all sins past, present, and future, and you will be in heaven no matter what, and never in hell! Jesus died on the cross for our sins, as FULL PAYMENT for ALL our sins! And then Jesus rose from the dead! Believe in JESUS for salvation, and you will be in heaven! Jesus is God, and Jesus loves you so very much! :D And the Trinity is true! Watch enough and it gets boring. The same thing happens with watching NASCAR. For me, with both, it takes about 10 seconds.

I am shocked to learn just how many women love porn. I always thought it was just for guys. If you really want to break your addiction, seek the truth behind the "fantasy " that the porn producers sell to you. Read about all of the violence and oppression that women and children throughout the world go through. Seek the truth and reality behind the lie.

Just stop watching it!.Unless you stop watching it that sin will never release you. The further you get away from it the less you will think about it. One of my friends had that problem and that helped for him. Also praying that God will help you get over it will help.

All the religious people are going to tell you to REPENT and everyone else is going to say that it's just normal. It depends I suppose on how religious you are. I don't see why you can't be religious and also watch porn. Then again I'm not a Christian.

Pray porn is a stronghold on you its like a drug or worst and once youre addicted its tough because its all you see in your mind and its not good at all and not okay its sexual immorality talk to a pastor and ask God to deliver you.

There are a couple of things I can say here that may sound a little ridiculous from where you're coming from. But I assure you, I am being very serious. First of all, by watching porn you are not separating yourself from God. You are separating yourself from what your parents, your preacher, and authority figures who try to dictate your life. "God ", as long as you believe in One, is not a human being. If you believe God to be perfect in all things then giving Him human traits makes Him imperfect. "God " has more important things to worry about than your love of porn. Your dealing with your own guilt, and worried that your parents will catch you and knock you around, so to speak. But in all honesty, the best way to break your porn addiction, or at the very least not watch it so much.... have sex. I'm serious. At your age it's scary, and it's exciting, and a lot of fun for years to come. But there's nothing better than getting the real thing. Of course, make sure you're being responsible, being safe, and don't turn into a monster. being educated in this area is healthy, and God will not punish you for being smarter and wiser. I promise. Have you worked on your relationship with God the Father? Do you love Him? These questions may surprise you, but the lack of self control can be traced to a complete breakdown in our relationship with Him. You need to overcome the lies that the evil one has taught about God the Father, this will take effort on your part, but once you catch a glimpse in your heart of how much He truly loves you, and wants to have a holy relationship with you, then you will be taking your first steps to true freedom. In fact, you will want to present your whole being to Him and not allow it to be sullied by the activities you have described. Please also be aware that you have opened many doorways of spiritual oppression, and will need mature Christians to pray with you, as you will suddenly have severe opposition, if you desire to be holy. Well, I actually know people who work in the industry and from what I know, it would be like watching your friends at work--boring if it isn't "real " and those who are addicted to such material, I just hope that they someday fully open their senses to experience real life outside their restrictive paradigms. If you didn't steal anything, or break any laws, or hurt anyone, don't worry too much about it.
