Most addictions are against Islam. so what you have to do is increase your faith and THAT alone should help you break your addiction. be in control, and know that Allah is there to help you. you never NEED a cigarette, its all in your mind - and shaytan is planting those thoughts nice and deep to make it harder to quit. learn more about Islam, practice what you learn, and feel the freedom = ) |

Most of what anyone says about addiction is crap. Seriously addiction is different for everyone and no two people can face it the same way...Many say mind over matter...not so...Our mind is what is addicted to whatever it is we are addicted to...the sensation we recieve from it is more men tal than physical most times and is only increadsed when a physical need is added. Over coming addictions especiall to smoking involves alot of work on your self.. Maing a lot of duas and spending lots of time working on personal issues...maybe you think ...oh I just smoke cigarettes...I don't got a real problem..truth is anything that takes over your life is a big problem...and there is a cause... first avoid situations where smoking is acceptable, seek a task to do for your Islamic community, I quit smoking when I began teaching a class at the masjid. How could I be an example and teach people things when I was doing something I saw as wrong? Find a new hobby try walking or join a gym Bottom line is you need avoid people places and things which cause you to smoke, deal with underlying issues such as stress or pleasure seeking, and find a reason to quit...and above all ask Allah for everything |
